Protest at the Legislature
FFF is planning a protest at the Legislature this year. All citizens that care about our marine resources are invited to join in!

We are in the initial planning stages for a protest at the opening of the Florida Legislature in March.
Initial plans are to show the legislators a basket of 100 pounds of marketable fish on one side... and on the other side will be 1,400 6"-7" fish that the fishermen are being forced to kill in order to achieve the 100 pounds of marketable fish. Among those 1,400 fish will be redfish, trout, snook, and various other juvenile fish representing actual by-catch with the FWC's forced 1" square mesh policy.
Our intent will be to educate Legislators about the stupidity surrounding FWC management decisions on our environment, economy and citizens.
We plan to have flyers about the "unnecessary killing and waste" along with flyers about the lack of "constitutional due process" from the rule creation phase to the lack of ability to appeal harmful rules in court.
We're also thinking about a pamphlet pertaining to the vast amount of lies the FWC have told the Legislature that have now been exposed through the courts, tests, recordings and official documents.
